Gallery A

Many of my scenes are simply a product of my imagination. Many others are inspired by my travels. It’s the blending of the two that interests me.
This gallery is full of rugged countryside like that found in the Rocky Mountains of Colorado or the Appalachians of West Virginia. Both are very different in many ways and yet both have their own brand of beauty.
These scenes are also filled with hard working people in less than perfect conditions. The earliest evidence of a railway in the world, by the way, was a 3.7 mile ( 6 kilometer) Diolkos wagonway, which transported boats across the Corinth isthmus in Greece during the 9th century BC. Trucks pushed by slaves ran in grooves in limestone, which provided the track element. Talk about hard working people in less than perfect conditions. The Diolkos ran for more than 1300 years.
Most of these scenes, by the way, are now on permanent display in a museum.
