Freelance DT&J in southeastern Ohio
Wes Shankland built this N Scale model railroad in central Ohio. It’s a great example of imagination and, with all his dental skills, intricate scratch-built details. The fence around the baseball field, for instance, is made from a bridal veil and the posts are computer components from Radio Shack. The retaining walls are made from quick-set dental plaster. The trees are all handmade, some from twine. The waterfall is made from silicone putty like that used around a bathtub. On and on it goes.
The model railroad is an approximation of Ohio towns and landscape circa 1964-1968. Check it out. Great ideas. Great work, Wes.
